Chackbay Nursery & Landscaping Awarded Contract
for Tarpon Rodeo Pavilion

July 10th, 2009

Grand Isle, LA: There will be oleanders blooming again just in time for the 2009 International Grand Isle Tarpon Rodeo. Chackbay Nursery & Landscaping, Inc. was awarded the contract to install new landscaping and irrigation located at the event’s main pavilion.

The project consists of installation of a new entrance and replacement of damaged plants and irrigation systems due to Hurricanes Gustav and Ike. The repairs will update the location where many of the awards ceremonies, for the three day fishing event, will be held.

This project is yet another of the many Chackbay has undertaken across Southern Louisiana in order to rebuild after recent storms from less than one year ago. “It’s an honor to have been selected to provide the new entrance to this high profile event, said Ed Ledet, project superintendant for Chackbay Nursery & Landscaping.” “You can certainly see that Grand Isle is coming back and it is great to be a part of it.”

Chackbay Nursery Adds MulchMule to Improve EfficiencyChackbay Nursery is committed to equipping our crews with the most efficient equipment and tools available. In keeping with that commitment, we recently acquired the Mulch Mule, a productivity tool that provides much higher efficiency in the installation of mulch. Beginning this Spring, we will use the Mulch Mule for filling wheelbarrows with mulch in lieu of hand loading with shovels. This saves our crews a great deal of time. We will continue with our meticulous hand dumping and spreading so that your finished installation will still be neat, clean, and precise.

November 17th, 2006

Chackbay Nursery and Landscaping has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge in their efforts to deliver 15 new homes and a park by year’s end.

Chackbay Nursery and Landscaping and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge have entered into an agreement for the design and landscaping of 15 new homes and a park that will be centralized in the community. The community will have tree-lined streets, sidewalks, and a fenced-in park that all homes will have access to through the back yards.

This is the second project of its kind for Chackbay Nursery and Landscaping this quarter. "This is a great opportunity for Chackbay Nursery and Landscaping to help the Baton Rouge chapter of Habitat for Humanity give fifteen deserving families a wonderful Christmas gift," said Benton Foret of Chackbay Nursery and Landscaping. "I can't wait to see the looks on the faces of the families when the project is complete and we can turn it over to them to enjoy."

Chackbay Nursery and Landscaping partners with Habitat for HumanityChackbay Nursery and Landscaping has recently partnered with Habitat for Humanity in their efforts to rebuild Gulf Coast communities.

Chackbay has installed the landscaping for 48 home sites in a community being built through a partnership with our local Bayou Region Habitat for Humanity and the broader based Habitat International. The new neighborhood has tree lined streets, sidewalks, landscaping for each new home and a playground accessible to the neighborhood.

We are proud to have been chosen for this project. We think it's wonderful that large outside organizations have joined to help the people of the Gulf Coast rebuild their homes as well as their lives. This has been a very rewarding experience for our company. It has been a pleasure to work with everyone.
